Nourish and Nurture Retreat
11 - 13 October 2019
When was the last time you truly took time out for yourself?
No work, no deadlines, no social commitments, no household chores, no responsibilities. Just you.
Picture a weekend of letting your body soften against the autumn chill, of giving your mind quiet time after a summer of input, and hearing the wishes of your soul. Imagine the warmth of a log fire on your skin after a countryside walk and enjoying nourishing, home-cooked food. Imagine the feeling of having given yourself the invaluable gift of time.
Join me as we return to the magical town of Glastonbury for a blissful,all-inclusive weekend of rest and regeneration, and settle into autumn.
Nourish Your Body
If autumn leaves you alternating between feeling low, slow and sluggish, or overwhelmed and overly energetic, you’re not alone! The shift from summer to autumn can be unsettling, throwing you off-centre. Over the weekend, we’ll practice yoga in a holistic way to bring balance back to both the body and mind, as well as boosting the immune system.
We’ll start the day with an optional but highly encouraged pranayama class, where we’ll use breathing techniques to wake up and feel vitalised. Following that, a Hatha Flow class will be practices to create space in the body and light the inner fire that can get so dulled during autumn. In the evening you can expect a chilled Yin practice, rounded off with guided meditation and/or mantra.
All equipment is provided and all levels are welcome!
Nurture Your Soul
Taking time out is one of the most precious gifts you can give yourself and autumn is the perfect time to do it. Known as the season of transformation, many of us begin to reflect this by looking for change in our own lives. Taking yourself out of your everyday life, even for just one weekend, can allow you to pause and check in with yourself without having to think about anybody else. On this retreat, you’ll be guided in how to start listening to what your heart really wants through a dedicated workshop. There will also be plenty of time for self-reflection, journalling, countryside walks, taking a massage, soaking in the hot tub or curling up with a good book.
This is your time, and you’ll be encouraged to do what feels good for you.
Lower Coxbridge House
We’ll be returning to Lower Coxbridge House, a stunning yet homely country house in the Somerset countryside. Decked out with hardwood floors, flooded with light and tastefully furnished, the house has an undeniable feeling of serenity. Set in secluded grounds with 360° views of unspoilt countryside and a beautiful view of the Glastonbury Tor, it’s the perfect place to unwind. Facilities include a dedicated yoga space, fully equipped kitchen complete with Aga, fire place, orchards, horses, hammocks and a hot tub.
The colourful town of Glastonbury itself is just 30 minutes walk or a few minutes drive away from the house, and only 50 minutes from Bristol and Bath. It’s also easily reachable by rail and road from London.
Food on an Urban Pearl Yoga retreat is a celebration and mealtimes are an opportunity to connect and enjoy each others’ company while tucking into seriously good food. Hello, I’m Nat!
I’m an ex-Londoner now living and teaching in Bavaria, southern Germany. To me, whatever takes you to your happy place is yoga, whether that’s meditation, hot chocolate or sunshine! Yoga has taught me that we can choose the life we want, instead of accepting the one we were born into, something I try to share in each class.
My retreats offer a relaxed environment that allows you to really let go and provide space for the deep work to take place. Picture a break away with good friends and you’ve got the right idea! You can find out more about me and my yoga journey on the About page.
